Katrina Valdes Bishop is a strategic communications and operations leader with nearly 15 years in political communications. As Chief of Staff at The Lafayette Company, she oversees account execution, staffing, and client services, serving as the primary link between firm leadership and the broader team.

She joins the firm from the trade association space, where she counseled clients on strategic and political communications across state, federal, and international policy priorities. Her portfolio spanned member communications, advocacy messaging, and event production, with a particular focus on narrative development around industry policy and grassroots mobilization, including signature public programming and large-scale elected official engagement.

Katrina began her career on Capitol Hill, where she spent seven years in the U.S. House of Representatives, including service as Communications Director for a Member of Congress. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the George Washington University. She is a member of the Junior League of Washington and Pi Beta Phi, and lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband, daughter, and English Toy Spaniel.
