We specialize in providing strategic communications services to a diverse range of clients, including mission-driven nonprofits, associations, political campaigns, and organizations navigating high-stakes moments. We are currently seeking a talented entry-level Account Manager to join our growing team.
Job Summary: The Account Manager will support day-to-day client account activity, media relations, and content development across a portfolio of corporate, nonprofit, and political clients. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career communications professional who is eager to learn the craft of strategic PR and crisis communications in a fast-paced boutique environment. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a proactive self-starter, and someone with a genuine interest in politics, policy, and current events.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring timely follow-through on account activity
- Draft press releases, statements, talking points, pitches, memos, and other client materials
- Build and maintain targeted media lists; pitch reporters, editors, and producers on behalf of clients
- Monitor news coverage and current events to identify media opportunities and compile relevant clips for clients
- Coordinate media interviews and provide logistical support for press activity
- Keep projects organized and on deadline across multiple active accounts simultaneously
- Provide light administrative support as needed to assist with the day-to-day operations of a growing boutique firm

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment
- Must be a self-starter who takes ownership and is unafraid to bring ideas to senior staff
- Genuine curiosity about politics, policy, and the news cycle
- Demonstration of professionalism in client and press dealings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with media list building tools a place.
- Willingness to work in-office to foster team collaboration
- Availability for occasional travel as required by client needs
Education and Experience:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in public relations, politics, campaigns, Capitol Hill, communications, journalism, or a related field; internship experience welcome
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, political science, or a related field is preferred
Salary and Benefits:
- Range: $47,000 to $53,000, depending on qualifications and experience
