Mitch McQuate is the Director of Accounts at The Lafayette Company, where he brings experience leading press outreach, digital content, and executive communications. He supports the team in all aspects of media relations, editorial development, and client services.
Prior to The Lafayette Company, Mitch served as Press Secretary and Senior Editor at InterAction, the largest coalition of U.S.-based international humanitarian and development NGOs. In this role, he built and maintained relationships with journalists and media outlets to advance the priorities of InterAction’s coalition. He also maintained the quality and integrity of InterAction content across all formats and platforms, ensuring communications were accurate, concise, and easily digestible.
Mitch has also served as an expert trainer for the International Republican Institute, training over 50 democracy activists from 20+ countries in media relations, guerilla marketing, and storytelling, equipping participants with practical skills to strengthen campaigns in their home countries.
Mitch holds a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Criminology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He currently lives in Washington, D.C., but remains a proud Boston sports fan.
