I’m excited to share an important initiative we’ve been working on at The Lafayette Company: the Symposium on Young American Men, taking place Monday, November 3, 2025 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
This full-day event brings together a bipartisan group of federal lawmakers, thought leaders, policymakers, researchers, and advocates from across the political spectrum to address what is likely amounting to the biggest social challenge of our time: the crisis facing young men. We’ll explore critical issues including mental health, economic opportunity, the role of universities, meaning and belonging, and actionable policy solutions. The event will be livestreamed with anticipated coverage from major broadcast, national, and international media outlets.
We’re honored to have confirmed participation from an exceptional and diverse group of speakers including Senators from both parties, health care professionals, military officials, think tank policy leaders, fraternity representatives, faith groups, responsible technology advocacy groups, and others committed to this cause.
In the coming days, we’ll share the names of additional lawmakers and experts who will take part in this historic event. We’ll also continue to roll out the names of our sponsors. But for today, a few big things to announce:
- We’re excited to hear from Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) and Sen. James Lankford (R-Ariz.), who will share their unique life experiences and how social institutions can reach, recruit, and retain men.
- We’re thrilled about our partnership with top-rated pollster Cygnal, who will unveil a first-of-its-kind survey of young men in America.
- And we’re also truly honored by the backing of the headquarters of Knights of Columbus, who are supporting this inaugural Symposium at a Presenting Sponsor level. KOC serves 2.2 million men throughout every stage of life, and their values of “Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism” are needed now more than ever.
This symposium is intentionally non-partisan. We believe the challenges facing young men — their need for community, mentorship, connection, and purpose — are fundamentally human issues that require us to work together. What happens to men should matter to us all.
Limited partnership and speaking opportunities remain. Click here for a prospectus in case your organization is interested in participating or you know someone who might be. For more information or to discuss further, reach out to me directly at ellen@thelafayettecompany.com.
